Resilient Utah Month

Utah’s  statewide program Resilient Utah has joined forces with Utah’s #1 News Station and CBS affiliate KUTV Channel 2 to present the Governor Declared “Resilient Utah Month” in May 2022.  During this special month, Resilient Utah Education Shield Awards will be presented to select schools, and individuals that have set extraordinary examples of building resilience and spreading hope within their schools, homes and communities.  

Resilient Utah Education Shield Awards

The Resilient Utah Education Shield Award is a prestigious honor presented annually by the state-wide program Resilient Utah. Each year education organizations and individuals are selected based upon their exemplary efforts in building student resilience in their schools, homes and communities. The Education Shield Awards will be announced during “Resilient Utah Month” in May 2022.  

The 2021-22 Resilient Utah Education Shield Awards will be selected in the following categories: 

  • High School
  • Middle School
  • Elementary School
  • Administrator
  • Secondary School Teacher
  • Elementary School Teacher
  • Wellness Professional
  • Parenting Organization 

Awards will be announced on KUTV Channel 2, in addition to being publicized through social media and educational networks. Award recipients will receive an honorary plaque.      

Nominations need to be completed online no later than Friday, May 6, 2022.
